Spring 2019

Aaron has been very busy this spring teaching students in Brooklyn and Queens through programs with Leap and The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, as well as New York City Center. It has been amazing watching his students grow in the last few months, some devising work about their families, and others learning music and choreography to Freak Flag from Shrek: The Musical.

Playgrounded (www.playgroundedimprov.com) had a successful winter session, doubling the number of classes it runs. Jordan and Aaron have been regularly planning for what’s next, and are putting together some exciting classes for the fall.

Aaron enjoyed taking some improv classes at The Magnet during the last few months, and met some hilarious people. In February, he found some time to get away from the city, taking a trip down to Texas to check out Austin and San Antonio.

This fall, Aaron will be attending NYU Steinhardt’s Educational Theatre program to get his Masters. He is excited to learn more about both teaching and theater!

Finally, a return to French Woods is just around the corner, and this summer Aaron is excited to direct Groundhog Day, Romeo and Juliet, The Alien Logs of Super Jewels, and Mamma Mia! But maybe most of all, he is looking forward to spending time with some incredible friends, and once again heading Improv Troupe.

(Aaron also really, really, really misses the Drama Bookshop.)
